Carry On: Finding Hope in the Canyon takes viewers on a journey through Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy and into one of the most incredible natural wonders of the world. Fourteen year-old Anthony Castle has a dream: to hike to the bottom of the Grand Canyon. There's only one problem, his life-limiting illness has taken his ability to walk. Join him in his quest to do the unimaginable…make the 20-mile hike to the bottom of one of the largest canyons on earth in a wheel chair, something that has never been done before.

When Anthony told his family his aspiration was to put his feet in the Colorado River at the bottom of the Grand Canyon, he wasn't laughed at or told it was impossible. Instead, the family handled it like they've handled the many challenges they face through a life coping with Muscular Dystrophy, as one supportive unit. After the initial shock wore off, they asked “Why not?” Why shouldn’t Anthony achieve anything an able-bodied boy of his age could? And so they set out on a journey to make his simple wish come true; what they didn't realize is the hope they would find along the way.

Twenty eight pairs of legs and 350-pounds of gear and food later, they are ready to face the dangers of the Canyon. Just days before the journey is set to begin, the progression of the disease, in the weakening of Anthony’s lungs, jeopardizes his dream.

Carry On follows Anthony and his family through the challenges of dealing with a muscle-deteriorating disease and the tenacity to take on dreams of any size. As Anthony reminds us, “It’s not about what you can’t do, it’s all about you CAN DO!"
